Influenza A

Seriously, why can't our school holidays be extended? If those who went overseas to those "affected" places need to be quarantined at home, then shouldn't we be treated the same way too? Isn't Singapore also affected by the H1N1 flu? Isn't the number of people being affected here on the rise? Aren't we being very vulnerable to the virus by going back to school so fast?
Another reason that the holidays should be extended:-there is too much homework and projects to complete within such a short period of time. Most of my holidays were spent on doing school work that I haven't even had a decent time to relax where I can don't worry about homework. Must we go through tortures like this when for each and every holidays? The least that could be done is to extend the dateline for the submission of work. At least we will have more time to complete the work and more time equals to better quality of work. With such little and insufficient time to complete our work, I am warning you: do not blame me for the quality of my work when it is due for submission!

Why are Libraries always so cold?

Went to Woodlands library to do the geography project today. Why is it that all libraries seem to be very cold? Was literally freezing in the library. I still shiver when I think about it.

Did the project with Jia Qi, because she's my partner! We went there super early and waited for about half and hour or more for the library to open. We were like among the kind of early group but then most of them was like seated right in front of the shutter waiting for it to be lifted up. Jia Qi and I were like standing behind and thus resulted in people filling up the space in front of us. Conclusion: we came early and it was wasted!

Luckily, we managed to secure a place for us. It was not a seat as there was no table. Maybe there was; if that could be counted as a table. But we had to sit on the floor. So I don't think it can be counted as a seat.

Crafted the mountains, hills, plain, plateau and all those. I spent most of the time reading while Jia Qi was there doing the work. Haha. I bully her into doing the work for me. Spare me, Jia Qi. I just can't detach myself from the book.

Then we were hungry so went to eat. Ordered I don't know how you call that in chinese but it was very hot as in the steam was like everywhere. Whew! And the smell of it was overpowering too. But it smelled nice. Made my mouth water.

Then went to popular to buy some personal things and carried on doing the project but not without fooling around first. We were like taking photos when I think we weren't allowed to take photos in the library. Very lucky that we were not caught.

Yup, I think that's all for today. Bye!

Council Camp

Just came back from council camp today. Very tiring. Here was what happened:-
On the first day(reporting day), we already had scolding as we were like not fast enough. Had to run up to put bags in classroom then run down. Then have meeting go ICreate room. Listen to boring talk but then Irina's etiquette sharing session was quite fun. Then later must change or was it bag checking first? Anyways, the bag check was disastrous. Had to empty your bag in seconds and then put them back again in seconds. Did this for a lot of time. My clothes all became dirty as they were placed on the parade square floor. Ewww... But never mind. Heard that the seniors went through a lot worse then us last year. Wonder how they survived all those...
Then bunk allocation had to clean up classroom. Was allocated to 1E4. Yeah! But then the seniors not happy with our standard then made us do punishment. Jumping jacks for lots of times. Tiring.
SKip,SKip. Talk about the food instead. One word to describe it all:SUCKS! Seriously, the food was so damn yucky that I almost felt like puking. Had to force myself to stuff them down my throat and into my stomach. The thought of it just made me want to go toilet. But there was the night trail which was very fun. Before that, gathered at the ICreate room where we had a briefing about the night trail. Then we switched off all the lights to create atmosphere. Atmosphere for telling ghost stories. Quite fun. But not really that scary. Wondered if it was really true even though seniors said that it was.
The night trail was very fun and exciting. The second station was so funny that my teeth almost fell out from all the laughing(exaggerating). But seriously, it was very funny. The senior mendig the station had to act as a German and spoke with a German "accent". It sounded so funny that I can still laugh when I think of it now.
Missed the last station as there was not enough time. Heard that it was the best station where one by one you go in alone into the classroom which was totally dark. And when we played this night trail it was like very dark, night time already. Got atmosphere. Haha.
After this went to bathe and then had supper. Could not really sleep after that but eventually succeeded. However, around 1 plus in the morning, there was "fire", had to rush down to the parade square and fall in. Learnt that must also bring fire extinguisher only after we were forced to do pumping. Then seniors let us go "sleep" but again there was fire drill. Our response was still not up to satisfaction. Hence do pumping. Then was finally allowed to go to sleep but then none of us dared to sleep. Scared that there was another fire drill. I hardly slept at all.
Today was much better than yesterday. We played a lot. Not that much of scolding. It was very fun. And we had area cleaning to do. Some of us clean bunks, some canteen, but the worse was toilet. Luckily I was not chosen to clean toilet. After that had prize presentation and some more fun. Finally, break camp. Travelled home by MRT. Upon reaching home, I gave myself a good bath and slept. Couldn't even bother myself with lunch. To tired to eat.
On the overall, the camp rocked!
